Products

Where do you get your watercress?

Our watercress is supplied by our good friends at The Watercress Company in Dorset. They have the majority share of the UK watercress market.

Where are your products made?

Prof & Doc ® watercress extract is made in our facility in Exeter, Devon. Our product ranges are made just down the road in Mayfield Labs, based in Tiverton, Devon.

How much watercress is in your serum?

Prof & Doc's Watercress Serum contains 93% Prof & Doc ® watercress extract. We process the watercress in-house and add no chemicals except for a small amount of preservatives and a thickener, which are known within the cosmetics industry to be kind to the skin. We have kept this to the bare minimum to maintain a strong natural balance of watercress.

We are proud to say that our extract is not diluted and is one of the highest percentages of a natural extract in the skincare market.

How much watercress is in your Cream and Mist?

Prof & Doc's Watercress Cream and Mist both contain 10% watercress extract. We have thoroughly researched the optimum percentage to put our extract into our products. We discovered that the optimum percentage is 10%. This means we are able to formulate the product to ensure it is stable, yet still maintain the benefits of the watercress extract.

What does watercress extract smell like?

Prof & Doc ® do not use any synthetic fragrances in any products. The scent in watercress extract is 100% naturally derived from the watercress plant.

It smells different to everyone, however, we have heard lots of people comparing it to apple juice, as well as natural honey. Let us know what you think it smells like!

Do your products contain any chemicals?

All of our products are proudly free of skin irritants and unfriendly chemicals. Our products do not include any parabens, phthalates, sulphates, petrochemicals, PEGs, mineral oils, GMOs, synthetic colours and fragrances.

Are your products tested on animals?

Prof & Doc ® have a strict cruelty-free policy. No products or source ingredients are tested on animals.

Are your products vegan?

All of our products are formulated with natural ingredients and are vegan-friendly. Fresh watercress is the only plant that enters our processing facility. Our preservatives are both vegan and have never been tested on animals.

Is your packaging environmentally friendly?

We have made a conscious effort to minimise and offset our impact on the environment wherever possible. This includes in our packaging and bottles. All of our bottles are sourced in the UK and packaging is made from 100% recyclable material.

Do you offer samples?

As a general rule we do not offer samples of our products. From time to time you may see sample products on social media or in a review, however these are likely to be through visiting trade shows or events which we are attending.

Do your products contain preservatives?

As watercress is a water based product, this can naturally induce the growth of bacteria. We require the use of preservatives to protect against any bacterial growth. Don’t worry, we are committed to using only natural and kind-to-skin preservatives. You won’t see any parabens in any of our products, ever!

Are the Prof & Doc ® products just for the face?

No! Our spray, serum and cream are suitable for use on all skin across the body. Please see our page on where to use our products here.

Testing and Trials

Who is doing the clinical trials of your range?

We use ADSL for all our testing and compliance. They are the UK's leading development, testing and regulatory laboratory for cosmetics. They have been with us from day 1, helping us with formulation right up to managing our clinical data.

What can your products be used on?

Watercress extract which is in all of our products is suitable for all skin types including sensitive skin. We ran our extract through the ADSL lab for a Clinical Product Test and the results showed that it was:

- Dermatologically tested

- Dermatologically approved

- Clinically tested

- Safe for skin

- Suitable for sensitive skin

- Suitable for all skin types

What are the features of Prof & Doc ® Watercress Extract?

Watercress extract (which features in all of our products) is skin soothing and helps to protect against skin irritation. It is suitable for use on all skin types including babies and sensitive skin.

What clinical trials are you performing?

We are soon to start a range of clinical trials on our watercress extract. Over the coming months we will release our data in full, but for now, sign up to our email list to be the first to hear about them!

Orders

What type of payment is accepted?

We accept Visa, MasterCard, Maestro, American Express (AMEX), Discover and Diners Club. You can also pay with Apple and Google Pay, Shop Pay and PayPal.

Can I buy any of Prof & Doc's Watercress products in any shops?

At the moment, we only stock our products online on our website. However, we are always looking to increase our stockist. If you want to stock our products, please get in touch via the trade enquiries form.

Can I stock any of the Prof & Doc's range?

We are always looking to increase our stockist range. Please do get in touch via our trade enquiries form and one of our team will get back to you.

Can I change or cancel my order once it has been placed?

We cannot guarantee that you will be able to cancel or change your order once it has been placed. It will depend upon our warehouse and if they have already started processing your order. Please get in touch with us via our form or email us at: hello@profanddoc.com as soon as possible to give us the best chance of stopping your order from processing! If an order has already been started in our warehouse, we may not be able to change any information or cancel the order. This normally happens within an hour of the order being approved.

If it hasn't been processed we will try our best to cancel or change your order. If you need to change your order, further payment may be required to adjust for the varied product/s.

If you have passed the point of being able to change or cancel, there is nothing further we can do as we are unable to accept returns.

How does subscribe and save work?

If you wish to buy any of our larger sizes of products, you will be eligible to save 25% on the order. Once you select the larger size of product, you will automatically be given the option to either buy it as a one-off or subscribe and save. If you choose to subscribe and save, you can choose your frequency of deliveries. You will be emailed 3 days before your next order is due to be delivered. Every subsequent subscription order will also receive 25% off.

Shipping

How long does shipping take?

Standard shipping takes 2-4 working days. This standard service is shipped with Royal Mail 48-hour. Please allow up to 4 working days for delivery to take account for weekends and warehouse processing.

If you have paid for express shipping this will arrive in 1-2 working days. This will be shipped with Royal Mail 24 hours.

Please note that if your order was placed after 1pm or on a weekend or bank holiday, then your order will be dispatched on the next working day and these shipping timelines will then kick in.

When will my package ship?

We try to get your package sent out as quickly as possible. The warehouse team will pick, pack and ship your order on the same working day if you have ordered before 1pm. If you order after 1pm then your order will ship on the next working day. Please note, the warehouse is shut on Sunday's and bank holidays.

Where do you ship from?

We ship from our warehouse, Huboo. They are located in Bristol, UK.

Where do you ship to?

We ship to all postcodes in the UK and Northern Ireland. Currently, we are unable to fulfil international orders however please bear with us as we are actively working to send into the EU.

Do you accept returns?

We are unable to accept returns of any type due to the nature of our products.

Can I ship to multiple addresses?

Unfortunately we are unable to dispatch to multiple addresses. Our system only accepts one delivery address and so whichever address you fill in at checkout will be the address we ship your order to.

Who are Huboo?

Huboo are our warehouse and they dispatch all our products. You may get a notification from Royal Mail to say "We've received your parcel from Huboo" - this is us, so please do not worry!
